A Day in the Life of Your JYMS Student

Experience what a typical school day is like for your student at John J. Young Middle School!

Families should arrive between 5:45 and 5:55 PM and line up outside the hallway entrance assigned to your student's team. Please bring a copy of your student's class schedule. When the bell rings, families will report to the student's 1st period class.

Every 10 minutes, the bell will ring, signaling families to move to the next class on the student's schedule. During each mini-class session, teachers will introduce themselves, provide an overview of their classroom expectations, and share important information to help your student have a successful school year.

Please Note: This event is not an Open House. Families are expected to follow their student's schedule for the entire evening rather than arriving and leaving at different times. Because class periods are brief, there will be limited time for individual questions. Teachers will provide their contact information and are happy to schedule additional conversations if needed.
