Principal's Message

I am proud to serve as the Head Principal at John Young Middle School. With over 26 years of experience in education, I bring a deep passion for student growth, staff collaboration, and building a school culture rooted in respect, responsibility, and academic excellence.

As principal, my primary responsibility is to ensure that JYMS is a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all students. I work closely with our amazing staff to lead instructional initiatives, support student achievement, and foster a positive school climate. I also collaborate with families, community partners, and district leadership to ensure that we are meeting the needs of all learners and preparing them
for success in high school and beyond.

Whether I’m visiting classrooms, supporting teachers, meeting with families, or problem-solving with students, every part of my day is focused on helping JYMS be the best it can be. I believe strongly in communication, collaboration, and consistency—and I’m committed to working with our staff and families to help each student thrive.

I’m honored to lead this incredible school, and I look forward to a great year ahead at John Young Middle School!
